LEARNING IN THE UPPER SCHOOL

In Upper School (Grades 7 - 12), FCIS boasts a comprehensive and diverse curriculum comprising multiple programs, tailored to offer students a globally-oriented and enriching educational experience.

For Grades 7 - 8, the school offers a rigorous American curriculum that is tailored to promote skill development, critical thinking, and global awareness. By fostering a strong foundation in core subjects, students are well-prepared to excel in more advanced academic endeavors in future grades.

For Grades 9 - 12, students have the opportunity to select from two distinct academic programs that both offer an American curriculum with a focus on Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The Regular High School Program provides a solid foundation in core subjects, preparing students for university studies abroad. Meanwhile, the AP Program offers rigorous coursework that allows students to earn college credits while enhancing their research, analysis, and communication skills.

The school’s accreditation by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) guarantees that the curriculum is research-driven and adheres to international educational benchmarks, offering students a robust academic grounding that is recognized worldwide.
