WINTER CAMP 2027

The FCIS English Winter Camp provides a structured and engaging English language experience for students aged 7-15.

Students develop key skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening through interactive lessons, small group activities, and real-world practice. Our curriculum is designed to help learners build confidence and improve communication in both academic and everyday settings.

Alongside language coursework, students take part in collaborative projects and social activities that support teamwork and cultural awareness. The programme aims to strengthen English proficiency and prepare students for future academic success and global communication.

This winter, give your child a meaningful, supportive opportunity to improve English in a focused, enjoyable environment.

THE HOST SCHOOL

Hosted at Forest City International School

Campers learn and live on the campus of Forest City International School (FCIS), an American-curriculum international school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Established in September 2018, FCIS joined CATS Global Schools, a network of 14 schools, in 2024.

FCIS is listed first among the 10 Best International Schools in Johor Bahru by the International Schools Database (July 2026 rankings).

Delivered with Prime Camp. The camp programme is run by Prime Camp, an experiential-learning specialist that has operated high-school, international-school, institutional and group camps for years. Its parents’ surveys of 2020–2023 winter-camp participants reported 100% overall satisfaction and 95% who would recommend the camp.

Forest City sits at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, across the Johor Strait from Singapore — about 30–40 minutes by car via the Second Link, and about three hours from Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia ranks 12th and Singapore 8th of 163 countries in the Global Peace Index 2026 (Institute for Economics & Peace).

QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK

Frequently Asked Questions

My child's English is basic. Will they keep up?
Every camper takes a two-step level test on arrival—an online assessment and an interview with a native-speaking teacher—and is placed in one of three levels, so lessons match ability rather than age alone.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Photos and videos go up every day, and assistant teachers record each day's class and share the progress with parents. You will receive the photo-feed address in your pre-camp pack.
What if my child gets sick?
Nursing staff live on site 24 hours a day and emergency medicines are kept at camp headquarters. Klinik 1 Hope in Forest City is about 5 minutes away and Gleneagles Medini Hospital about 20 minutes by car.
What is not included in the fee?
Flights, travel insurance and pocket money for shopping. Day camp also excludes accommodation and weekend excursions.
Can day campers join the excursions?
Yes, at extra cost where places are available—ask Admissions when you register.
Can we come for two weeks only?
Yes. Boarding runs Group 1 (9–21 January) and Group 2 (23 January–4 February); day camp runs Group 1 (10–21 January) and Group 2 (22 January–4 February).
