Inspired by the story of Origami Peace Cranes, our Grade 1 & 2 students explored themes of peace, friendship, and kindness. After learning about the crane as a symbol of hope, they created origami cranes and hearts decorated with encouraging messages.
The project also included a cheerful singing performance connected to the theme of peace, adding music and joy to their learning experience. 🎶
These creations were shared with students in Poland, building friendships across borders. In class, the activity supported lessons on welcoming others and being a good friend, while in EAL, students practiced writing letters about themselves, growing both their language skills and confidence.
At FCIS, we value learning experiences that connect our students with the wider world in meaningful!
