Student Perspectives | FCIS Spotlight: Why You Can’t Stick to Your Goals (and How MBTI Can Help)

Meet Bob, a reflective and motivated student at Forest City International School. In his engaging talk, “Why You Can’t Stick to Your Goals (and How MBTI Can Help)”. Bob explores why so many people struggle to follow through on their ambitions—and how understanding personality types can make a real difference. As an INFP, he shares personal insights into his own challenges with goal-setting and how he learned to stay on track by breaking big ambitions into small, achievable goals.

Through his talk, Bob encourages others to better understand themselves, work with their personality rather than against it, and build momentum through small wins that lead to lasting progress.

At Forest City International School, public speaking is more than a skill—it’s a platform for students to own their ideas, challenge assumptions, and develop their voice. As part of our High School Graduation Requirements, Grade 11 and 12 students write and deliver original talks inspired by TED’s format and values.
